This policy applies to all information collected or submitted on Atlas Wallpaper's [Atlas] website and apps for iPhone, iPad and any other devices and platforms.
Information we collect
Atlas strives to track the least amount of data or information about you as possible. Atlas does not require an account to be created in order to be used. Atlas does not collect personal information from you at any time.
Atlas can use your device's location for added functionality, this is not required, disabled by default, and can be turned off at any time. Your location is not transmitted off your device and is not kept or tracked in any way.
Atlas does collect usage counts of popular places and styles to provide a better experience for you. This count is used to determine which suggested places to show you. The collection of these counts is completely anonymous.
Atlas uses frameworks and code from MapBox to render maps, MapBox includes telemetry functions to improve their service. MapBox's telemetry functions are disabled by default in Atlas. You can enable them if you desire. If you enable telemetry, the collection of data is governed by MapBox's policy.
Technical basics
Atlas uses Apple's CloudKit to store data. No personal information is stored in CloudKit. When you create a custom style, that style is kept on your device. If you chose to share the style, your a unique but random number for you is stored in CloudKit along with the style. Styles can be deleted from sharing at any time from within the Atlas app.
We use cookies on the site and similar tokens in the app to keep you logged in.
Analytics
Atlas includes no analytics packages or code. If you opted into iOS system analytics on your device, then aggregate data is shared with Atlas through Apple's developer services.
Information usage
We use the information we collect to operate and improve our website, apps, and customer support.
We do not share personal information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to accomplish Atlas' functionality. We may share anonymous, aggregate statistics with outside parties (or publically), such as how many people searched for a location.
We may disclose your information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal requirements; to exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud or abuse, violations of our policies; or to protect our rights and property.
In the future, we may sell to, buy, merge with, or partner with other businesses. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets.
Security
We implement a variety of security measures to help keep your information secure. For instance, all communication with the app and website requires HTTPS.
Accessing, changing, or deleting your information
You may delete your shared styles from the Atlas iOS app, these are deleted immediately, however, may still be present on Apple's servers for a short period of time.
California Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
Atlas complies with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We, therefore, will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
We never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.
Information for European Union Customers
By using Atlas and providing your information, you authorize us to collect, use, and store your information outside of the European Union.
International Transfers of Information
Information may be processed, stored, and used outside of the country in which you are located. Data privacy laws vary across jurisdictions, and different laws may be applicable to your data depending on where it is processed, stored, or used.
